Meet Your Professor
Your trip will be guided by Dr. Brad Dubik. Brad received a PhD in Marine Science from Duke University in 2019 and his "day job" is with a major scientific research journal where he oversees environmental science research. Brad has years of experience in teaching marine science, and is a lifelong fisher and crabber. Brad's passion for marine life started at a young age when his grandfather taught him how to fish. He has caught 196 species of fish and counting.
Brad has previously worked as a mate in North Carolina's commercial snapper-grouper fishery and as a consultant for local seafood organizations across the United States. He twice received certificates of angling achievement from the North Carolina Natural Resources Commission.
Brad resides in Carroll Gardens with his wife. He hopes to spread his passion for marine life with his fellow New Yorkers and those visiting the city.
